Journey Itinerary
As we journey through Egypt beyond the monuments, we will create meaningful opportunities to connect with and learn from women across generations and backgrounds. Through authentic conversations and shared experiences, we will explore the many dimensions of womanhood—including family, career, entrepreneurship, identity, cultural change, and the evolving relationship between tradition and modernity. Together, we will reflect on the stories, values, wisdom, and traditions women carry forward, as well as what they hope to inspire and pass on to future generations.
This tentative itinerary is provided as a sample and is intended to give you a sense of the journey and experiences planned. The final itinerary, including specific sites, activities, accommodations, and timing, will be confirmed closer to departure and may be adjusted based on availability, local conditions, special opportunities, and other logistical considerations. Any updates will be communicated to participants prior to travel.
Day 1
Arrive in Cairo
Opening - Intention - Sisterhood​

Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, you will receive personal assistance through immigration and customs before transferring privately to your luxurious 5-star hotel.
​
Once everyone has settled in, we'll gather for an intimate Welcome Dinner, designed as the first opportunity to meet one another, slow down and begin creating the connections that will carry throughout our journey.
​
Over dinner, we'll introduce the intention behind our retreat:
We have not come to Egypt simply to see it. We have come to experience it.
​
Through meaningful conversations, cultural encounters, wellness experiences and time for reflection, we'll explore Egypt not only through its extraordinary history, but through the women, communities, traditions and stories that continue to shape the country today.

Day 2
Giza Plateau, Saqqara
& Dahshur
Pyramids - Ancient Wisdom - Inner Journey
​
We'll begin early, before the day becomes busy, with a special private visit to the Great Pyramid of Giza, including access inside the pyramid, subject to current site permissions and availability.
​
Rather than simply approaching the pyramids as archaeological monuments, we'll use this extraordinary landscape as an invitation to pause and consider our own journey.
​
After our Great Pyramid experience, we'll enjoy breakfast on a rooftop overlooking the pyramids and Sphinx—a beautiful opportunity to sit together, reflect and take in the morning light.
​
We'll continue to the ancient necropolis of Saqqara, home to the Step Pyramid of Djoser. Here, we'll explore the remarkable architectural achievements of ancient Egypt and the evolution of monumental architecture.
​
We'll also visit the Serapeum, the underground complex associated with the sacred Apis bulls, subject to access conditions.
​
Rather than presenting the site's spiritual meaning as a literal ancient-Egyptian “consciousness system,” we invite participants to explore the symbolism of transformation, initiation, death and renewal through their own personal lens.
​
We'll pause for a traditional Egyptian lunch before continuing.
​
We'll then travel to Dahshur to explore the Bent Pyramid and Red Pyramid.
​
The progression from Giza to Saqqara to Dahshur creates a fascinating story of experimentation, evolution and human ingenuity.
​
In the evening we'll visit a local aromatherapy/oil workshop to learn about traditional Egyptian oils and their contemporary applications in beauty and wellness.
​
Return to the hotel for a relaxing evening.

Aswan & Isis Temple
Isis - The Feminine - Rebirth
​
After breakfast, we'll check out and transfer to the airport for our flight to Aswan.
​
Upon arrival, we'll begin our exploration of one of the most beautiful settings in Egypt: Philae Temple, dedicated primarily to the goddess Isis.
​
We'll travel by motorboat across the Nile to Agilkia Island, where the temple complex was relocated following the construction of the Aswan High Dam.
​
For our retreat, Philae becomes an opportunity to explore grounding, belonging, safety and connection. As well as themes of feminine strength, motherhood, devotion, resilience, restoration, rebirth, the preservation of heritage.
​
After our visit, we'll board our luxurious 5-star Nile cruise.
​
Lunch will be served onboard, followed by time to settle into our cabins and enjoy the ship.

Day 3
Kom Ombo & Edfu
Balance - Duality - Sacred Order

Wake to the Nile.
​
After breakfast, we'll continue our journey south/north along the river depending on cruise routing and visit Kom Ombo Temple.
​
Kom Ombo is unique because of its dual dedication, particularly to Sobek and Horus.
For our retreat, this creates an opportunity to explore the concept of duality and balance.
​
We'll continue toward Edfu Temple, dedicated primarily to Horus.
​
Our Egyptologist will bring the mythology and history to life while our retreat facilitator connects the themes to personal reflection.
​
Return to the cruise. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure, sunset on deck and dinner onboard.

Day 5
Luxor & Karnak
Power - Transformation - Inner Fire
​
After breakfast, we'll arrive in Luxor and explore the magnificent Karnak Temple Complex.
​
Karnak is one of Egypt's most extraordinary sacred landscapes, developed over centuries and associated particularly with Amun and the great religious center of ancient Thebes.
​
A highlight will be exploring the symbolism associated with Sekhmet, the powerful lioness-headed goddess. Rather than presenting Sekhmet simply as a “healing goddess,” we'll explore the complexity of her mythology: destruction and protection, fury and compassion, power and healing, ending and renewal. This becomes an extraordinary metaphor for transformation. We'll allow time for quiet reflection within the temple complex.
​
We'll continue toward the Sacred Lake and discuss the importance of water, purification and renewal in ancient Egyptian religious traditions.
​

Hatshepsut Temple &
The Valley of the Kings
Women - Leadership - Legacy
After breakfast, we'll cross to Luxor's West Bank to visit the Temple of Hatshepsut.
​
Today centers around one of the most compelling women in ancient Egyptian history: Hatshepsut.​ We'll explore her remarkable rise to power, her reign, her architectural legacy and the ways her image and memory were represented after her death. But this won't be just a history lesson.
​
Women & Power - Conversations around: leadership, visibility, ambition, resilience, claiming space, being underestimated, the legacy we leave
​
After lunch, we'll explore selected tombs in the Valley of the Kings.
​
Rather than trying to see every tomb, we'll slow down and appreciate the artistry, mythology and ancient Egyptian ideas about death, transition and eternal life.
​
Return to the cruise. Dinner and overnight onboard.

Day 7
Dendera & Abydos
Love - Devotion - Renewal
Today takes us beyond the typical Luxor itinerary. We'll travel to Dendera Temple, one of Egypt's most beautifully preserved temple complexes. Dendera provides an opportunity to explore the goddess Hathor and the many dimensions of her ancient worship, including associations with love, music, joy, motherhood, femininity, beauty, fertility, celebration.
​
We'll explore the temple slowly, leaving space for observation, photography and quiet reflection.
​
We'll continue to Abydos, one of ancient Egypt's most important religious centers and strongly associated with Osiris. The themes of death, resurrection, renewal and eternal life provide a natural bridge into our retreat's deeper reflection work. A sacred landscape for contemplating renewal, transition and the cycles of life.
​
After our visits, we'll return toward Luxor for lunch and then continue according to the final transportation schedule.
​
Depending on the final flight/cruise configuration, we'll either stay overnight in Luxor or travel onward.

Day 8
Coptic Cairo
Heritage - Community - Connection
​
After returning to Cairo, we'll explore another side of Egypt entirely. Today moves from pharaonic Egypt to living Egyptian heritage.
​
We'll explore historic Coptic Cairo, including selected churches and heritage sites. This area provides an opportunity to discuss Egypt's Christian heritage and the country's remarkable religious and cultural layering.
​
Depending on the group's interests and timing, we can choose between:

for a deeper archaeological and cultural experience,
OR
Khan el-Khalili & historic Cairo
for a more immersive neighborhood experience.

Our final evening together will be a beautiful celebratory farewell dinner.
​
We'll share stories, laughter and gratitude for the women we've met and the experiences we've shared.

Departures
Integration - Gratitude - Homecoming
We'll begin the final morning slowly.​ Breakfast at the hotel.

Our journey will come full circle with a meaningful Final Women’s Circle, creating space to pause, reflect, and honor all that we have experienced together. As women, we will revisit the five pillars that shaped our journey—Culture, Heritage, Connection, Wellness, and Reflection—and share how Egypt has expanded our perspectives, challenged us, inspired us, and connected us in unexpected ways. We’ll reflect on what we discovered about another way of living, the stories and traditions we inherit and carry forward, and the people we met whose experiences may have touched our own. We’ll consider what slowing down and creating space for wellness revealed within us, and most importantly, what we are choosing to carry home—not only from Egypt, but from one another. This final gathering is an opportunity to celebrate the connections we’ve formed, honor the experiences we’ve shared, and reflect on how this journey may continue to shape us long after we leave.
